Talk about a complex list and that’s just the half of it, there’s more!
At first glance you would think that the list covers all the bases, but there’s one most important aspect of building an online business that most people seem to forget.
What they fail to remember is, you came here to make money; that’s why you’re reading this post & that’s why you’re searching for how to build a business online.
It’s not a hobby for you, it’s a business and you need to know exactly how to make money and a get a return on your initial investment (sweat equity). The first thing I came across when I first started was the sentence, ‘you can’t make money with a blog’ this was back in 2016 and it stuck in my mind. I truly believed that blogs didn’t make money, that their sole purpose was to act as an outlet, by sharing common experiences and content; almost like an online diary, with the only tangible incentive being a cupboard full of free samples.
A blogger/vlogger whose left with products (free samples) and no income, sounds like a lot of hard work for nothing, but that just simply isn’t true.
See there’s this one thing that is missing from that list and it’s a simple process that includes two very simple words, number one being affiliate number two being marketing.
You simply need to focus on the people you want to serve, your target audience within your niche.
Find out what they like and most importantly what they need to improve their day to day activities.
Then find companies and even other bloggers who create products and services that can be recommended to your audience in the form of an article, blog post, written or video based review.
This way you get the chance to try out the service, and give your honest and unbiased feedback.
Some people think that reviews are always good and glowing because we want you to buy the product, this is simply not true. Many times bloggers will review a product negatively but may offer an alternative, this product may be a lesser known product like my digital e-store via Podia, but the price, functionality and customer service experience is worth the mention and may just have everything else your looking for with a few small compromises.
How To Start With Affiliate Marketing
The best and easiest option is to start with a training platform that gives you the tools and knowledge required to do it properly. I recommend Wealthy Affiliate. The platform is designed to help you start your affiliate marketing career from day 1. It’s set up by two friends Kyle & Carson, who spent years learning all the above steps before making a profit, they then created the platform to guarantee that nobody ever has to struggle creating an online business and 89% of their 3million users are profiting within the first 3-6months.
Most importantly they know that you may not have the funds to buy a domain and hosting and Web designer, so they give you two domains and free hosting to get you started, plus a generous affiliate program which pays out monthly.
The free starter membership is free for life and will get you on the road to making money online for free in no time, read more about the offer here.
The definition of sweat equity is a non-monetary investment that business owners contribute to a business venture. Of sweat equity is usually given in the form of physical activity in layman’s terms sweat equity for you as an entrepreneur are the tasks you start and complete in order to develop grow and scale your business.
So how does this relate to you?
In many ways it’s crazy to think how any entrepreneur does it but in order to be a success; unless you are a trust fund baby you’ve been saving your pocket money since you were 10, sweat equity is and always will be the only logical way to make money in your business, online adventure and/or side hustle. Think of it this way, you have a great product or service but you have no capital and very little business history, to warrant anyone offering you a loan. You know from calculations that it will take 10 sales per month to cover any expenses and to break even you also calculated that it will likely take 15 to 20 cells per month to make a livable profit.
You then set out to reach your first goal, 10 sales do that is pure sweat equity. There’s no marketing budget, no sells budget, no pr budget. So what do You do? You have already invested a fair amount of sweat equity by putting in the time and effort to start the business and complete the creation of the product or service you are offering now you have to market it and that part takes constant sweat equity and very little monetary return for the first six months to a year.
How This Applies to Making Money Online?
As mentioned earlier, the best and most lucrative way to make money online for free; is to start your own website with wealthy affiliate.
Sweat equity in this process, is the Investment you put forward in joining, then by completing the training and then opening your domain which is hosted for free by wealthy affiliate.
What happens next is pure sweat equity, here you will begin ( like the rest of us) to maintain a steady flow of good content, you will begin to participate in business activities online such as media i.e. live and non – live video creation. You will then open social media accounts and create a funnel towards your resources for free. the steady flow will be maintained and no outside Commitments can or should alter the flow of production in your online business.
Return On (Investment) Sweat Equity
Typical Returns range from, 3 to 6 months, 10 to 12 months and can vary accordingly. The return, will initially be in the form of traffic growth, social follower growth and then monetary, ranging from £500 to £5,000 per month.
That’s how you make money online for free.
